I will concentrate on the Preparation, Training, Conditioning & Competition of a small number of Quality Performance Horses.
I will no longer be breeding horses (will provide Stallions & Semen for service to outside mares) but will purchase quality horses, if and when required, from the market.
I have already installed a Horse Walker & Round Yard to facilitate the Stud's objective.
Listed below are some statements made by Eric Hought in his article "Preparing the Endurance Horse".
These statements & their application play a significant part in the preparation of my horses.
"The rider must place his personal success on hold and elevate the performance of the horse to the fore front. It is all about the success of the horse, not the rider.
The 'job' of the rider is to learn as much as possible about how the horse learns and as many techniques possible to manage the horse to his highest level of achievement.
It is the rider's responsibility to see that the horse's self-confidence grows to the point that the horse thinks he is a tiger, YET totally under control."
